ABOUT ME
I am a fourth-year student at The University of Texas at Austin studying mechanical engineering and computer science. Originally from the bi-national community of El Paso, Texas, and Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, I am an extremely motivated student with a strong passion for both technology and design. As an academic, I have had the pleasure of participating in a machine learning bootcamp at the University of Kentucky and studying abroad in Amsterdam, Netherlands. As a professional, I have had the opportunity to intern at Dell technologies for two summers as both a supply chain intern and software engineering intern. You can read more about these experiences on this page as well as browse through some of my ME/CS projects on this website.
Please feel free to reach out to me using my email at the bottom of this page!
ML SUMMER BOOTCAMP
Summer 2022
As a selected participant, I had the opportunity to learn from Dr. Corey Baker at the University of Kentucky about supervised and unsupervised machine learning, as well as their associated models and libraries. This summer-long camp hosted by NACME and sponsored by Google was structured with a first half of intensive instruction, followed by a final project and presentation as a group.

DELL INTERNSHIP
Summer 2023 & 2024
For two consecutive summers I interned at Dell Technologies—first as a supply chain intern, then secondly as a software engineering intern during the summers of 2023 and 2024, respectively. As a supply chain intern, I worked on landscaping the supply chain process to identify risks and pain points to help provide an autonomous and frictionless supply chain moving forward. As a software engineering intern, I worked for Dell’s PowerStore storage systems, specifically in deduplication algorithms, to help deliver on their promise of a 5:1 data reduction ratio.
These two internships have allowed me to translate the theoretical concepts I've learned in the classroom into practical experiences within a Fortune 50 technology company.
STUDY ABROAD
May 2024
As a Gilman scholar, I had the opportunity to partake in a short-term faculty-led program in Amsterdam, Netherlands in the month of May where I took ME 338, Machine Elements. This intensive month-long course covered modeling, design, integration and best practices for use of machine elements such as bearings, springs, gears, cams and mechanisms.
Our final project consisted of designing an RC car and running several Finite Element Analysis (FEA) on it. Our final report can be found here.
